This lap counter utility offers a practical solution for tracking multiple athletes’ remaining laps during middle- and long-distance track events. Its user-friendly interface allows for quick data entry of athlete bib numbers, initiation of timing, and real-time input as athletes cross the finish line. The system accurately displays the remaining laps for each athlete, along with precise timestamps in seconds for each completed lap.

• Unlimited capacity to monitor simultaneous athletes
• Pre-configured lap counts for standard race distances: 2, 3, 7, 12, or 25 laps
• An undo function to correct any erroneous input
• A 40-second timeout per athlete to prevent accidental double registration of laps
• Color-changing buttons indicative of decreasing remaining laps
• Darkened buttons that reflect recent presses for better visual feedback
